Gallery Show, "Texture in the Natural World" Opening Reception

THURSDAY MAY 17,  5:30 - 7 PM

Exhibit Runs May 17 – August 17

Yountville Arts is thrilled to be featuring three of the Valley's most talented artists in one show! "Texture in the Natural World" will feature art by Franci Claudon, Belinda Leake and Angela Tirrell.

Franci, known for her contemporary work, sees her paintings as an exploration of beauty - in a dirty gritty grey, gleaming red, ghostly white, saturated blue. "They are an expression on the possibility for myself, for you & for the world. They are an act of love."

Belinda, known for her abstract work, has developed her style through a collision of experience, the development of surface quality and experimentation.
Her paintings invite the viewer to explore and interpret through discovery
of form, patterns and shapes that resonate with the viewer.

Angela, known for her abstract paintings and murals, incorporates elements such as sand, charcoal, insect carapaces, acupuncture needles, glass shards, papyrus and other found objects to reflect topical concerns. “My paintings are - I hope- essays, prayers, and conduits to encourage reflection and communication about the complexities which inhabit our hearts and minds.
