Town of Yountville Fire Update - 10-12-17 9:30 a.m.
Fire Condition in Yountville remains unchanged. There is no immediate fire threat to the the Town. We continue to monitor the Nuns Fire from Sonoma County that has moved up Mt. Veeder to our west. If conditions change you will be advised. Active fires are continuing to our south and east in Napa, to our south and west in Napa and Sonoma areas and to the north in Calistoga. Fire crews report that weather conditions have improved and they are starting to see a small level of containment.
Yountville Cross Road remains closed east of town as Silverado Trail remains closed from Sage Creek (128) south into City of Napa.
Cell service remains spotty with coverage coming in and out intermittently.
Air quality remains unhealthy. Please wear a breathing mask. The Town is expecting a shipment of breathing masks mid-morning at the Community Center.
The Community Center is open and we encourage you to come down for a cup of coffee, some popcorn and talk with your friends and neighbors. Bilingual counselors from Napa County Health and Human Services are on site if you would like to talk about the situation and how it is affecting you or your family.
Ranch Market continues to be open for food, ice, and water if you need them. Kelly's Fuel and Provisions is open with coffee, hot dogs, and fuel. Many of our restaurants are reopening for lunch and dinner and we encourage you to visit them and lend them your support.
The County of Napa is holding a Community Meeting at 4PM at the NVUSD Auditorium located on the corner of Jefferson and Lincoln Streets in Napa. A Meeting will also be held at 6PM at the St. Johns Catholic Church in SPANISH. Residents are encouraged to tune in as it will be livestreamed on the County of Napa Facebook and Channel 28 as well as KVON. Another County of Napa Press conference is scheduled for 9AM tomorrow.
