Yountville Fire Update - 10/12/17 2:00 p.m.
The Partrick and Nuns Fire on Mt. Veeder has grown more active and the smoke volume has significantly increased and is much more visible. The active fire has crossed the ridge in proximity of Mt. Veeder Road, The fire has not reached Dry Creek Road. Per call with County EOC there is no direction for an advisory or a mandatory evacuation of Yountville at this time. County EOC advises that significant fire resources are being deployed along Mt. Veeder and Dry Creek Roads to fight the advancement of the fire. Additional resources will be deployed into the foothills west of the Veterans Home as an additional defense. 

Residents have asked how will I know about an evacuation order? 

Nixle, Nextdoor Yountville, Town of Yountville Facebook and our page will be used to distribute information should an advisory or mandatory evacuation situation occur. In event of a mandatory evacuation order town staff and emergency personnel patrol neighborhoods to alert you. Again, this is simply to advise you how you would be advised and there is no current direction from County EOC for either an advisory or mandatory evacuation.

Napa County is hosting a community meeting TODAY, Thursday Oct. 12. Come to the NVUSD District Auditorium at 4 p.m. to hear updates on the fires, evacuations and more. Spanish and American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation will be available. The meeting will be streamed online at
