Winter Storm Preparation
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Date: November 29, 2018
Contact: Joe Tagliaboschi, Public Works Director
Subject: Winter Storm Preparation
The winter storm season is now upon us, and the Town would like to remind Yountville residents to take the necessary precautions. Winter storms can bring a significant amount of rain that can lead to localized flooding and make the roads dangerous. The storms can also bring higher winds with potential for trees and debris to come down. Residents should take caution on the roadways, particularly during darker hours, and avoid flooded areas.
Public Works crews will monitor creek volume, drains and inlets, and areas which are prone to localized flooding.
Residents are encouraged to stay informed by signing up for Nixle at www.nixle.com and by using the Town website at www.townofyountville.com, local and regional radio and television, weather services, and other reliable emergency information outlets.
In the event of an emergency, please call 911 or call the Sherriff’s Department at (707) 944-9228.
