Subject: Sandbagging Station Now Open in Town
The winter storm season is in full swing and the Town would like to remind Yountville residents to take the necessary precautions. Winter storms can bring a significant amount of rain that can lead to localized flooding and make the roads dangerous.
In anticipation of potential heavy rains and possible flooding, the Town, in partnership with Napa County, has opened the Sand Bag station which is located at the northwest corner of Washington Street and Grant Street at Yountville Community Park. Sandbags will be provided and are located in a bin, but we ask residents to bring their own shovels. Residents can also prepare for flooding by visiting the Town’s Emergency Preparedness website at www.townofyountville.com/ and click on the Flooding Preparation page.
Residents are also encouraged to stay informed by signing up for Nixle alerts at www.nixle.com and by using the Town website at www.townofyountville.com, local and regional radio and television, weather services, and other reliable emergency information outlets.
In the event of an emergency, please call 911 or the Yountville Sherriff’s Office at (707) 944-9228.
