Yountville Community Advisory Group Applications Being Accepted Until April 14
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Earlier this year, The Town of Yountville launched Envision Yountville, an effort which will culminate in an update to the Yountville General Plan. General Plans are policy documents that guide the future development for the Town, including what will and will not be encouraged for future housing, business, open space and transportation options in the community. The next step in the Envision Yountville process is the formation of a Community Advisory Group.

“We’re looking for people who love this Town and want to ensure that it is sustainable for future generations,” said Mayor John Dunbar. 

The Community Advisory Group will meet several times over the course of twelve to sixteen months to discuss proposed policies as part of the Town's Update.  The group will provide valuable input to the Town’s planning staff and the consultant team who are tasked with capturing the future vision of Yountville’s residents and business community.  

“We really wanted to give our residents an opportunity to tell us what makes their Yountville unique and identify those characteristics they want to preserve,” said Town Manager Steve Rogers.  

The Town Council will select a group of nine to fifteen applicants representing diverse viewpoints in the community. Applicants must live, work, own property or conduct business in Yountville.  Prospective members can apply online at or download an editable form there to print out and mail/deliver to Town Hall located at 6550 Yount Street, Yountville, CA 94599. Hard copies of the application are also available at Town Hall.  Applications must be received before April 14, 2017.
