YOUNTVILLE PARK RESERVATION GUIDELINES AND APPLICATION VETERANS PARK & BOCCE COURT RESERVATION GUIDLINES AND APPLICATION
Welcome to Yountville! We are proud to provide enjoyable, well-maintained parks to the residents of Yountville and visitors. Effective March 1, 2001, the Town instituted a park reservation system to address the impacts of significant, seasonal use.
Reservation Procedure
The above applications must be completed in its entirety and fees paid before a park and/or Bocce Court is considered confirmed for reservation.
Rental Applications should be submitted at least five (5) business days before your desired rental date.
Office hours for the Community Services Department are Monday – Friday 8 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. You may submit payment for park use through our office, or via the US Mail. Mailed applications must be complete, and payment submitted for the full amount due.
Cancellations with less than 72 hour WRITTEN notice will be cause to forfeit fees paid; deposits will be returned within 7 to 10 working days of cancellation.
Restrictions
- Group sizes are restricted for picnic sites # 1, 2, and 4 to 40 persons (exceptions may be granted under a Special Event Permit).
- Picnic site # 3 is the designated large group site and accommodates groups up to 75 persons exceptions may be granted under a Special Event Permit).
- Portable barbeques are permitted ONLY on concrete or dirt surfaces – not on grass areas, picnic tables, or park equipment. Barbeques must be supervised at all times.
- Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, and provide ID for proof of age.
- Only the areas designated in the rental application are to be used; spill over or monopolizing other areas of a park IS NOT PERMITTED.
- All municipal, civil and criminal code applies to the use of a park site.
- It is recommended that groups use rope or plastic tape to mark off the area rented. No nails should be used for this purpose or for any other reason.
- No jumpers, dunk tanks, or other such structures are permitted in Town parks.
Fees and Deposits
There is no charge to residents of the Veterans Home of California – Yountville, residents and local businesses of Yountville, or for Town-sponsored events.

Rental fees INCLUDE set up and clean up time.
A Security Deposit of $100 is required to be submitted with the application by separate check from the rental fee for non residents. Deposits will be returned within 7 to 10 working days pending verification of clean up and no reported damage.
Arriving at Rental Site
You must have an authorized rental signature on a reservation application in hand when you arrive at the park facility you have chosen to rent. The Sheriff will not honor any application that does not have an authorized signature.
In cases where you arrive at a park site and your reserved space is occupied, you must call the Napa County Sheriff’s office, 707-944-9228. A copy of your reservation permit will be posted at the park area rented.
Leaving the Site
The rental is responsible for all clean up, and the supply of garbage bags for picking up litter. All bags must be sealed, and placed adjacent to garbage cans. Any damage to equipment or park site must be reported within 72 hours of use.

Bocce Ball Court (Veterans Park)

Bocce Court Rental
Residents and non-residents through the Community Services Department can reserve the Bocce Courts. For an application please click here. For court availability please call (707) 944-8712.
We are proud to provide enjoyable, well-maintained bocce courts to the residents of Yountville and visitors. Effective March 1, 2002 and amended June 6, 2006, the Town instituted a bocce court reservation system to address the impacts of significant, seasonal use. Below is a set of guidelines for the use of our bocce courts.
Your interest in renting bocce courts is appreciated. Please initial each section of the guidelines indicating your understanding and your agreement to abide by established guidelines and ordinances.
Court Hours and Use
From April 1st to November 30th Veterans Park Bocce Courts are generally open to the public and available for drop in play or to reserve between sunrise and sunset, seven days per week first come first serve except for the times listed below.
- Closed Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays 3:30 pm - Sunset (Club Play).
- Closed Thursdays 9:00 am – 11:00 am (Senior Play).
- Closed Fridays 8:00 am to 3:00 pm (Weekly Maintenance).
- For Town sponsored activities, special events and programs.
Reservation Procedure
Reservations are not required to use bocce courts. The application for reserving bocce courts is attached to the Veterans Park Application Form above. It must be completed in its entirety and fees paid before a bocce court is considered confirmed for reservation.
To facilitate public drop in and pick up play, bocce courts may not be reserved during the following times:
- Tuesdays Sunrise to Sunset.
- Saturdays and Sundays, Sunrise to 10:00 am and 4:00 pm to Sunset.
Rental Applications should be submitted at least five (5) business days before your desired rental date, and no earlier than (90) days in advance.

Non Resident and non-local businesses: $10 per court per hour

- Recurring daily, weekly and monthly reservations are prohibited, except for scheduled Town or Yountville Bocce Club events.

- All municipal, civil and criminal codes apply to the use of a bocce court.

In situations where you arrive at bocce court site and your reserved space is occupied, you should politely inform players that you have reserved the bocce court. If they refuse to vacate the court, you should call the Napa County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch. A copy of your reservation permit will be posted at the park area rented.
