Highway 29 Bike Path Project

Project Description:
The Town has received a $1 million grant from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (economic stimulus) through the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC), and Californian Department of Transportation (Caltrans). The project will construct about 4,000 feet of Class 1 Bike Path along the east side of Highway 29 from California Drive to Madison Street. The project has been advertised for bidders and it is anticipated that the Town Council will be asked to award the project on February 16, 2010.
