Emergency Shelter

The Town's Yountville Community Center located at 6516 Washington Street in the center of town next to the Post Office is the Town's designated Emergency Shelter.

The Town will open the Emergency Shelter in the event of an emergency situation such as:

  • A cooling or heating shelter in the event of an extended PGE power outage lasting longer than 4 hours.
  • Flood event which forces residents out of neighborhoods or results in activation of the flood wall barrier gates at Rancho De Napa and Bella Vista (formerly Gateway) communities.
  • After an earthquake event assuming the shelter is structurally sound.
  • Other localized event(s) where residents or visitors may be temporarily displaced from their homes, lodging, or the Veterans Home campus.

The Yountville Community Center is also the "go to place" for information during an emergency if you do not have power, internet access or cell phone service. Town staff at the Yountville Community Center will be briefed on the most current known and up to date information to share with you.

Remember, the Town provides information and regular updates on emergency situations using Nixle, the Town website, e-notification, Nextdoor, and Facebook which are easily accessed when power, internet and cell phone service is available.
