2016 Citizen Satisfaction Survey

In 2016, the Town of Yountville participated in a community-wide citizen satisfaction survey, conducted by the National Citizen Survey. The National Citizen Survey (NCS) is a survey service supported by the International City/County Management Association (ICMA) and the National Research Center (NRC). Communities throughout the nation use this survey, which allows for a large sample size of benchmark communities. The service includes all aspects of conducting the survey including the preparation, distribution, verification, and analysis. NRC staff not only analyzed the survey responses to determine the opinions of the community, but also compared results with those of other communities.

Initial survey materials were sent to the community in early February. After several waves of mailing, the data was collected, processed, and analyzed. In April, NRC staff provided the Town with the final reports and results of the survey which are available at the links below. In general, almost all who responded to the survey rated the quality of life in Yountville as excellent or good. Residents rated the overall quality of life higher than the national benchmark.

On May 17, 2016, staff from the NRC presented the key findings and results of the survey. You can view the presentation made during that meeting, along with the full reports on the survey results, using the following links.
