Subject: Steve Rogers Gallery Presents “VIVA COLORES: Janis Adams Glass Art & Jose Chavez Original Paintings”
Yountville, California - Yountville Arts proudly presents an exciting new exhibition celebrating the dynamic and colorful works of two extraordinary artists. This vibrant showcase debuts self-taught abstract painter Jose Chavez alongside a striking new series of kiln-formed glass by Janis Adams.
The show will be on view from April 3, 2025 to May 2, 2025 with an Artist and Opening night reception on Thursday April 3, 2025, from 5:30 to 7:00 PM. The gallery is located at the Community Center, 6516 Washington Street, Yountville. Guests will have the opportunity to meet both Jose and Janis and immerse themselves in a world of bold colors.
Jose Chavez’s abstract paintings radiate energy and movement reflective of his intuition. “My artistic journey began in my teenage years,” he states, “I started with No. 2 pencils because they were available to me and I could express my imagination. As time passed, I developed and broadened my techniques and now include paintings such as these on display in VIVA COLORES!”
Janis Adams latest glassworks explore luminous textures and rich hues demonstrating her mastery of kiln-formed glass. “I like to create pieces that are utilitarian, meant to be used in everyday life such as sushi sets, soap dishes, platters, plates and bowls,” explains Janis. "I love the tactile nature of glass in all its forms (sheets, frit, rods, stringers, etc. - ask me about these terms!) that can be melded together to create pieces that are harmonious, agreeable and attractive. I seek to make ‘happy’ glass, pieces that will entice a smile or a feeling of pleasure. Glass lends itself to experimenting with different techniques, new and fun ways to capture color and texture to arrive at a delightful experience for the eyes. VIVA COLORES!”
Together their works create a dynamic dialog of color and form offering an inspiring visual experience meant to brighten any day!
Come and experience their exciting works firsthand! “VIVA COLORES” works of art will be available for viewing and are for sale at the Steve Rogers Gallery, 6516 Washington Street, Yountville from April 3rd through May 2nd, inviting visitors to celebrate the power of color and artistic expression.
