Yountville Arts is proud to present In The Moment… Original Studio and Plein Air Works by Loretta Loy-Adair, on display September 18 through November 28, 2025, at the Steve Rogers Gallery in Yountville.

The mission of the Yountville Arts Commission is to celebrate and share the transformative power of art through engaging exhibitions at the Steve Rogers Gallery. Hosting up to six exhibits each year featuring local, regional, and world-renowned artists, the gallery welcomes the public to enjoy Loretta Loy-Adair’s original studio and plein air oil paintings. 

Loretta Loy-Adair, a Northern Californian artist, has been painting in oils for more than 30 years. Early inspiration for her works stemmed from her family’s rich artistic heritage and the picturesque landscapes of her surrounding environment. Her artistic style is characterized by luminous colors and expressive brushstrokes that capture the essence of the world around her. She paints with both brush and palette knife, creating dynamic textures, shadows, and depth in her work. Her plein air pieces reflect her ability to quickly capture the changing light and mood of the natural environment.

Her repertoire encompasses a wide array of subjects, from still life paintings that celebrate her Dutch ancestry to landscapes that provide a unique perspective of the North Bay. Influenced by a family of artists, Loretta blends timeless techniques with contemporary flair to create her own signature style. Her works capture impermanence and a sense of place by holding a single moment in time.

“We are so excited to present this beautiful collection!” says Recreation Coordinator Katelyn Huss. “Loretta’s works encompass old traditions while also capturing the modern North Bay landscape. These are detailed works that need to be experienced in person.”

The public is invited to view In The Moment… Original Studio and Plein Air Works at the Steve Rogers Gallery, 6516 Washington Street, Yountville. Join us for the Opening Reception on Thursday, September 18, from 5:30–7:00 PM.

The exhibit will be on display through November 28, 2025. Regular Gallery Hours are Monday–Friday, 9 AM–5 PM, and Saturdays, 11 AM–4 PM. Evenings and Sundays by appointment.
