Town Public Works Staff is hosting a Community Meeting for the Public to provide input on the Town Hall Landscaping Project.
When: Saturday December 9th at 10:00 am
Where: Yountville Town Hall, 6550 Yount Street
Weather permitting, the meeting will be outside with a walk-about the front landscape area. If it is raining, we will be inside the Town Council Chambers at the same location.
Why: The purpose of the meeting is to learn about the proposed project and receive input on the various design elements the public might like to see incorporated into the project.
How: Guiding the meeting will be public works staff along with a licensed landscape architect to present potential design options. Councilmembers Pam Reeves and Robin McKee-Cant will participate and we all encourage participation and feedback on how we can improve the landscape in front of Town Hall. Discussions will include things like sun and shade patterns, existing trees and landscaping, water efficient and low maintenance plantings, areas for seasonal/celebratory plantings and demonstration areas for Napa native, pollinator, and succulent/garden plantings.
Next: Input from this meeting will help guide the design team the design of which will be presented at a future meeting.
