Mayor Mohler and the Town Council invite the community to a gathering in remembrance of the terror attacks on September 11, 2001. Please join us at 7 AM on Monday, September 11 at Yountville’s Community Center Plaza, located at 6516 Washington Street, the location of Yountville’s 9 -11 memorial.

All are invited to share a story, a poem or to simply gather to acknowledge and honor the lives lost, the work of our first responders and our military members on what was a very dark day in our nation’s history. We will observe a moment of silence at 7:28 AM which was when the North Tower of the World Trade Center fell and where our memorial artifact is from.

The Yountville 9-11 Memorial was originally dedicated in 2011. The display was a culmination of a two-year effort by Yountville resident Sean Larkin and Yountville’s past Mayor, John Dunbar. The artifact came from the North Tower which was the location of the international Windows on the World restaurant and holds a special meeting for our community.
