Subject:        Oak Circle Paving Project to Begin the Week of April 13, 2020

Beginning the week of April 13, 2020, the Town’s Oak Circle Pavement Rehabilitation Project will occur in the Oak Circle neighborhood, including Heather Street and Oak Leaf Court.  As a Public Works infrastructure project, this type of construction work is allowed under the Napa County Shelter-at-Home order.  The contractor is subject to all of the current protocols in place including social distancing, hand washing and face protection in addition the all of the standard personal protection equipment required by the nature of construction work.

This paving project will grind the edges of the existing roadway, then overlay new asphalt on the entire width of the road creating a rehabilitated street surface. This work will be completed by Ghilotti Brothers Construction as part of the Town’s Measure T Paving program.  The following streets will receive this improvement:

  • Oak Circle, from Washington St, its entire length
  • Heather Street, from Oak Circle to Mulberry St.
  • Oak Leaf Court, from Oak Circle, its entire length

The work will occur over the course of approximately 2 weeks:

  • Week 1, April 13:  Prep work, adjusting utilities down, spot repairs and grinding
  • Week 2, April 20:  Paving the streets, adjusting utilities up and traffic markings.

During construction, streets will be accessible to local traffic (local traffic defined as residents who live on affected streets) only, with delays up to fifteen (15) minutes. No street parking will be available while the grinding and paving is being done. All work will be done between 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. to adhere to the Town’s noise and construction rules. Detours will be set up, and residents may want to avoid these areas during the construction period.

Ghilotti Brothers employees be on-site and available during work hours.  If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact the Contractor’s Superintendent, Jeff Swank, (415) 760-1958 or the Contractor’s Project Manager, Mario Ghilotti, (415) 454-7011.

The Town of Yountville and Ghilotti Brothers Construction request that everyone obey the traffic control and follow detours as they are there for the safety of the public and the workers on site.
