Subject:        Hopper Creek Path Reconstruction, Hopper Creek Condos to Yount Street, Project to Begin the Week of
                       April 20, 2020

Beginning the week of April 20, 2020, the Town’s Hopper Creek Path Reconstruction Project, Hopper Creek Condos to Yount Street will occur on that segment of the path. As a Public Works infrastructure project, this type of construction work is allowed under the current Napa County Shelter-at-Home order. The contractor is subject to all of the current protocols in place including social distancing, hand washing and face protection in addition to all of the standard personal protection equipment required by the nature of construction work.

This path project will demolish the existing, aged asphalt surface and replace it with a more durable concrete surface. The new path will be the same color and style as the segment that was replaced previously from Hopper Creek Condos to Finnell Road.

The work will occur over the course of approximately four (4) weeks between now and Memorial Day weekend. During construction, the pathway will be closed at Finnell Rd, Yount Street and Forrester Lane entrances. As segments of the path between access points are completed, they will be opened to the public. All work will be done between 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. to adhere to the Town’s noise and construction rules. Detours will be set up, and residents may want to avoid these areas during the construction period.

The contractor doing the work is Schaefer Engineering Inc, who will have employees on-site and available during work hours. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact the Contractor, John Schaefer (707) 849-1975 or the Town’s Project Manager, John Ferons, (707) 944-8851.

The Town of Yountville and Schaefer Engineering request that everyone respect the path closure and follow detours as they are there for the safety of the public and the workers on site.
