water conservation

Water Conservation

Water conservation is important, even when the Town of Yountville isn't facing water restrictions. Being mindful of our water usage is still crucial for several reasons.

  • Conserving water helps to protect our environment. The less water we use, the less we need to extract from our rivers and groundwater sources. This, in turn, preserves ecosystems and the natural beauty of our surroundings.
  • Saving water also means saving money. Even though there are no current water restrictions, using water more efficiently can lead to lower utility bills.

Water is a precious resource that shouldn't be wasted, regardless of the current conditions. Every drop saved is a step towards a more sustainable and responsible community.

So, let's continue to be good stewards of our water resources. Simple actions like fixing leaks, using water-efficient appliances, and being mindful of our daily water habits can go a long way in preserving this valuable resource for generations to come.

You can stay up to date on your water usage by signing up for Eye on Water here!

Welcome to Town Deputy Moore

The Sherrif's Office in Yountville has welcomed a new team member! Deputy Michale Moore was raised in Napa for most of his life and attended schools in the valley. Prior to serving Napa County, he lived in San Diego for a period of time, graduated from San Diego State, and embarked on his law enforcement career with the San Diego Police Department. With an 19 years of law enforcement experience under his belt, he has predominantly served as a patrol officer but has also taken on roles as a K9 officer, SWAT team member, detective, and school resource officer.

Outside of his professional life, he's an enthusiastic camper and enjoys going on vacations with his family and activities like hiking and cycling around town.

March 2022 marked the start of his journey with the Napa County Sheriff’s Office, where he was initially assigned to patrol. Deputy Moore is thrilled to be joining the team in Yountville and is eager to lend a helping hand to anyone he encounters while on patrol. When you see him out and about, be sure to introduce yourself!
