2023-2031 Housing Element

The Town of Yountville's 2023-2031 Housing Element (6th Cycle) was adopted by the Town Council on June 4, 2024 and certified by the California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) on August 7, 2024. The Housing Element is one of seven elements of a General Plan and is a long-range visionary document to establish how the Town of Yountville will provide for our regional share of housing units. Learn more about the Housing Element.

In an effort to address informal comments from HCD, the Town of Yountville revised the February 2024 version of the 2023-2031 Draft Housing Element. The revised Draft Housing Element is available at the link below. The HCD 60-day review period ends on May 7th, 2024.

The Town of Yountville revised the Adopted 2023-2031 Housing Element to address comments received from HCD on April 24, 2023. This draft dated February 2024 is linked below with a summary of revisions and was sent on March 8, 2024 to HCD for a 60-day review period.

The Yountville Housing Element draft was made available to the public for review and comments were accepted until August 19, 2022. The Public Review Draft was submitted to the California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) at the end of August 2022 for their 90-day review of the document. 

To address initial comments from HCD, the Town of Yountville revised the August 2022 version of the 2023 to 2031 Draft Housing Element. See a red-line version of the Housing Element Update, 2023 to 2031 (PDF). The HCD 90-day review period ended on November 18, 2022.

On November 18, 2022, the Town of Yountville received formal comments from HCD on the revised draft Housing Element. The letter identified a number of items in need of further clarification or modification. Following receipt of HCD's comment letter, staff and the consultant team revised the Housing Element to address all the comments in the letter. A final "adoption" draft of the Housing Element document reflecting the changes made in response to HCD's formal comment letter.
