The Yountville Farmstand Garden is a thriving, community-powered space growing fresh, seasonal produce in the heart of Town on the Yountville Commons site.
The goal is simple: to grow food with and for the Yountville community.
What We Grow
Each season, the garden yields a rotating variety of fruits, vegetables, and herbs selected for their nutritional value, culinary versatility, and ability to thrive in our local climate. Everything is grown sustainably without synthetic fertilizers or pesticides.
Who Supports the Garden
The garden is led by longtime local farmer Peter Jacobsen and supported by the 4G Club—a team of residents who Grow, Garden, Glean, and Give. This grassroots initiative is funded by the Imagine Yountville micro-grant provided by the Town Council and Yountville Community Foundation.
Community in Action
The Yountville Farmstand Garden demonstrates what’s possible when residents come together with a shared purpose. Led by local volunteers and supported by micro-grant funding, the garden is rooted in community values and powered by hands-on participation.
Through the efforts of those involved, the garden promotes:
Local Food Access – Offering fresh, seasonal produce at affordable prices for residents and community workforce members. Produce can be purchased at the Coop, located on Finnell Rd. behind Town Hall. Fresh produce deliveries are made on Thursdays.
Neighborhood Connection – Strengthening community bonds through collaboration, education, and a shared commitment to healthy living.
Sustainable Living – Encouraging environmentally conscious gardening practices and seasonal eating.
Grassroots Leadership – Empowering community members to shape and sustain a program that directly benefits their neighbors.
