Submit a public comment

Overview

Public comments help Town leaders hear from residents about local issues, concerns, and ideas. You can share your comments in person at a meeting or submit them in writing before the meeting begins.

Use this page to learn how to submit a public comment to the Town Council or any official Town board or commission.

Need to know

  • You may submit public comments in writing or in person

  • Written comments must be received prior to 4:00 PM the day before the meeting. Comments received after this deadline will be included in the record after the conclusion of the meeting.

  • Comments are not read aloud during the meeting but are forwarded to Council or committee members

  • Comments become part of the public record

Before you start

Decide whether you want to submit your comment in advance or speak during the meeting. Written comments are shared with the Town Council or relevant board/commission and included in the meeting record, but they will not be read out loud.
